Annual Awards Program
The SUCCESS Annual Awards are designed to build upon and complement the Immediate Recognition Awards and other awards given at the departments level, e.g., "Employee of the Month or Quarter."

Annual award nomination forms are made available to all Business and Finance employees. SUCCESS Advisory Committee members will have additional nomination forms. Any individual within Business and Finance can be nominated for one or more awards. Nominations are reviewed by the Advisory Committee members using criteria established for each award. Award recommendations are forwarded to the Senior Leadership group for final determination of award winners. Awards are monetary and will be presented at an annual event. There are four nomination categories:

    Customer Service Award
    The Customer Service Award recognizes an individual, work group or team who demonstrates SUCCESS principles. Applicable principles include, continuously improving processes, exceeding customer expectations and striving for excellence. Award recipients will be selected on the merits and strengths of the following contributions:

    • Consistently provides quality customer service

    • Communicates effectively with customers

    • Solicits feedback to improve processes

    • Handles university resources effectively

    • Sets goals

    Floyd A. Meadows Leadership Award
    The Floyd A. Meadows Leadership Award was created for individuals who motivate and lead people with the goal of striving for excellence. Award recipients will be selected on the merits and strengths of the following contributions:

    • Motivates and brings about enthusiasm in others

    • Sets goals and measures performance

    • Understands and values differences

    • Communicates

    • Continuously improves processes

    • Strives for excellence

    • Handles university resources effectively

    Michael Blankenship Pioneer Award
    The Michael Blankenship Pioneer Award recognizes a work group or team that uses creative cooperation to significantly improve or create a process or an environment for continuous improvement. Award recipients will be selected on the merits and strengths of the following contributions:

    • Assists in defining requirements

    • Implements significant improvements or changes successfully

    • Sets goals

    • Sets example for successful partnership and collaboration

    Student Innovation Award
    The Student Innovation Award recognizes a student that demonstrates a commitment to supporting the goals and core values of the Office of Business and Finance. Award recipients will be selected on the merits and strengths of the following contributions:

    • Adds value to the department/university
    • Appreciates differences and impacts others
    • Shows integrity and innovation
    • Improves processes
    • Delivers essential services
