Many conferences have moved to virtual alternatives as a result of COVID-19 risks. If you have a travel request (T#) associated with a conference that required travel dates within the travel suspension, it should be cancelled in the eTravel system (adding comments and applicable cancellation documentation).
If the conference host has offered a virtual conference with a fee, you should:
- Consult with your senior fiscal officer for budget approval, since the university has set a moratorium on spend – limiting expenses to essential
- Submit through eRequest.
