Applications for dependent tuition assistance must be submitted each term. The summer 2019 term enrollment window closes Friday, June 14. The autumn 2019 term enrollment window opens Monday, June 24, and closes Friday, August 23. Faculty and staff can apply online using Employee Self Service or paper applications. The student must have a social security number on file with Buckeye Link to receive dependent tuition assistance.

On Monday, May 6, 2019, the university will implement summer work hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some areas may have additional hours outside of this core, or may choose not to change their hours at all, in an effort to meet customer and student needs. Offices are responsible for communicating extended hours and any schedule changes to their employees and customers. Regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for those offices that do make a switch, will resume in August prior to the start of fall semester.

Employees who contributed to a 2018 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) have until March 15, 2019, to incur eligible expenses. All reimbursement requests must be submitted to TASC, the university’s FSA administrator, no later than March 31, 2019. Any unused amounts remaining after this deadline will be forfeited.

Form 1095-C is a required tax form that provides important information about the health care coverage an employee had or was offered by Ohio State during 2018. For employees who consent to receive the form electronically, it will be available from Equifax with secure access through Employee Self Service on February 18, 2019. Equifax will send an email when the 1095-C is available.

The Distinguished Staff Awards recognize and celebrate staff who have made an impact at The Ohio State University. It is the highest honor bestowed upon Ohio State staff members. Each recipient receives a $1,500 cash award, an increase of $700 to his or her base salary and a commemorative trophy. Additionally, the recipients are honored at a spring luncheon and recognized on the field during an Ohio State football game. The nomination deadline is Friday, January 18, at 5 p.m.
