Applications for dependent tuition assistance must be submitted each term. The enrollment window for spring semester 2020 opens November 11, 2019, and closes January 10, 2020. Eligible faculty and staff can apply online or with paper applications . The student must have a Social Security number on file with Buckeye Link to receive dependent tuition assistance.

On January 1, 2020 , the hourly minimum wage in Ohio will increase 15 cents from $8.55 to $8.70 for all non-tipped workers. The minimum hourly rate for tipped workers will increase from $4.30 to $4.35 - an increase of 5 cents. At Ohio State, the increase will affect approximately 3,500 non-tipped workers across the campus and 75 tipped workers.
To ensure the change coincides with the beginning of a pay period, OHR will centrally implement the increases to all employees affected by the minimum wage change effective December 22, 2019.
Open Enrollment is the annual opportunity for staff to evaluate benefit options and make elections for the upcoming year. Open Enrollment for the 2020 benefit plan year will be available November 1-14, 2019 .

Learning sessions will begin October 1 for 4,600 supervisors whose direct reports will be covered by Career Roadmap . Registration for these 90-minute sessions is in BuckeyeLearn . Starting September 30, supervisors will have the opportunity to view how their direct reports were initially mapped in the first draft of the new framework. They will be instructed to work with their unit HR partners.

Ohio State is surveying faculty, staff and students to open dialogue about community members' shared values and ethics to better understand what guides their decisions and actions. Between September 23 and October 2, Ohio State faculty, staff, and students will get an email from the Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) with a link to participate in the survey, which will take about 20-25 minutes to complete.
