Foundation Data Model
Foundation Data Model (FDM)
The Foundation Data Model (FDM) is the ‘chart of accounts’ used in Workday. The FDM is a multi-faceted classification system that allows users to attach “worktags” to transactions. By labeling information with worktags that are shared between business areas (Finance, HR, Payroll and Student), the university can effectively report and analyze data.
I want to...
- Learn more about Financial Data Model definitions
- Access the Earnings Operation Policy
- Get trained on the Finance Foundation Data Model
- Find a list of the worktags used to add descriptive information to financial transactions in Workday
For additional information on the FDM, please refer to Workday for Core Users: Finance in the Administrative Resource Center.
University FDM questions should be submitted to CTL-FDMRequests@osu.edu.
