Samir joined The Ohio State University Office of Investments in April 2016 and leads sourcing, diligence, and monitoring of the illiquid portfolio, which includes private equity, venture capital, private credit and private real assets.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Samir worked for the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System in Columbus, OH, where he led fund investing efforts in private equity. Earlier in his career, he worked as a hedge fund of funds analyst at the multi-family office affiliate of National City Bank in Cleveland, OH.
Samir graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Rochester and is a CFA charterholder and CAIA charterholder.
