Growth and Professional Development

Developing and retaining top talent is vital to the success of the university's mission and robust professional development opportunities are instrumental in cultivating a stronger team. There are subtle, yet significant differences between training and professional development. Visit B&F Skills Training and Onboarding to review the annual training requirements and skills training specific to policies, procedures or systems.

Unlike training, professional development is a longer-term ongoing process that enables improvement in existing skills to help individuals grow personally and professionally, enabling them to contribute to their existing roles and prepare for future opportunities.

The Office of Human Resources collaborates with faculty and staff to further the Ohio State learning culture through growth and professional development opportunities.
