Electricity

AEP-Energy is the university’s contracted electricity provider of the power delivered to the university’s Columbus campus substations. The term of the Columbus campus substations contract is through June 2026. Depending on the location, AEP Ohio, Ohio Edison, and multiple municipal and cooperative utility providers serve the regional campuses and other university properties throughout the state.

Natural Gas

NRG (Direct Energy Business) is the university’s contracted natural gas provider for Columbus campus and the majority of the universities other properties throughout the state including the regional campuses, community medical facilities, and remote academic and research facilities. The term of the Columbus campus contract is through June 2026, and through June 2025 for all other properties.
