Mileage Rate Update - January 2022

Effective Jan. 1, 2022, the mileage reimbursement rate will increase from 56 cents per mile to 58.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven from Jan. 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2022.

The University Travel Office offered 4 (1-hour) sessions as a part of the travel partner series with American, Delta, Southwest and United Airlines.  The sessions were designed to bring the university’s travel partners to an accessible forum to discuss return to travel updates and address your questions.

Mileage Reimbursement Update

Effective Jan. 1, 2021, the mileage reimbursement rate will decrease from 57.5 cents per mile to 56 cents a mile for all business miles driven from Jan. 1, 2021 through Dec. 31, 2021.

Coronavirus travel exemption process as of June 20, 2020

To clarify and expand on previous decisions, the university has suspended all university-sponsored international and non-essential domestic travel until December 31, 2020.  All travel that has been scheduled through December 31, 2020, must be canceled (see cancellation guidelines.) Exemption processes and elevated approvals related to travel restriction under specific circumstances are summarized below.

Coronavirus travel guidelines as of June 20, 2020

Ohio State is following the public health guidance of local, state and federal officials to protect the health and well-being of the university community and to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Domestic and international travel restrictions, initially announced in March, have been extended until December 31, 2020.
