Get ready for Surplus Property System improvements

We are pleased to share that a new Surplus Property System (SPS) is on the way, incorporating significant improvements to accessibility, ease of use and appearance. You are invited to utilize an online training course before the changeover later this month.

This course has been assigned to all SPS users via BuckeyeLearn. Log in and go to "My Transcript" to access the 30-minute course titled "Surplus Property System – Disposal Requests" and learn about the new interface.

About the new system

The new SPS interface offers many benefits intended to make it easier to submit or approve a Disposal Request (DR):

  • Compatible with all browsers — no longer requires Internet Explorer.
  • Mobile-friendly: initiate a DR and add photos directly from a smartphone or tablet.
  • Approve requests by email without logging into the SPS system.
  • Upload multi-line item DRs via spreadsheet.

While the look and feel of the system will improve substantially, the core DR process will remain essentially the same. We are in the process of finalizing the final launch date and will be in touch soon with more details about the system changeover.
