Orr Protection Systems

In 1967, 24-year-old Bud Orr joined his father Clark Orr, Sr., in the family business. At the time, ORR Safety Equipment Company had been in business for 19 years. Bud began his career filling orders in the Louisville warehouse – the only one the company operated. 
Bud relocated to Indianapolis in 1970 to expand the business into the region. During that time, he developed relationships and strategies that would lead to the founding of a new business venture. In 1971, ORR Protection Systems (OPS) was established. OPS was the company's first subsidiary and set the stage for the diversification of the business. Today, ORR Protection Systems is about one third of the entire companies business and does work in 36 states and is still family owned.
All testing shall meet or exceed minimum requirements set forth by the Ohio Revised Code. Testing shall only be conducted during the agreed upon times. ORR Protection Systems shall furnish a schedule showing days and times for building testing, at least two weeks before testing. Personnel shall be neat in appearance and shall wear a properly fitting uniform with ORR logo while on university property. If ORR Protection is unable to access a location, contact with the appropriate business unit personnel shall be made before the device is skipped. When the signaling circuit or Lenel monitoring is disabled, ORR Protection shall have the main fire alarm panel manned for the duration of the impairment. Before work begins and after work is completed ORR Protection shall contact central alarm center.
